Music has always been an integral part of my life, but it wasn't until a car ride home from Stockholm 15-20 years ago that I discovered my true passion for creating music. After a gig or recording session with The Flying Butchers, I had the idea for my artist/project name and even drew a logo of a bizarre evil-looking snowman. While the drawing is long gone, the name has stuck with me over the years.
I am not one to be confined to a specific genre and prefer to create music as I please, without any constraints. My love for experimenting with different styles and sounds has resulted in a diverse playlist that ranges from heavy rock to cinematic songs with strings and brass to synth-based pieces.
All my music is produced in my modest home studio, where I have everything I need to bring my musical ideas to life. I use Reaper as my DAW and have a subscription to the Izotope Music Production Suite Pro, which has been invaluable for producing professional-sounding music with easy mixing and mastering. As a non-experienced audio engineer, the software is a lifesaver. I also use Bias FX Ultimate for bass and guitars and various free VSTs such as Vital Synth, Mini Grand, Velvet, and Hybrid 3. For drums, I primarily use MT PowerDrum Kit 2. There are many great free VSTs available, and with a bit of research, you can find the perfect one for your needs.
Getting my home studio to where it is now has been a journey, and I'm proud of how far I've come. I plan to continue creating music and expanding my knowledge in recording techniques, mixing, and mastering. It's a wonderful journey that I hope will never end, and I can't wait to see where my love for music production takes me next.
